    • Biography

      Dr. David Barker: David has been teaching at Heritage since 1978, mostly in the area of Old Testament, but also in the area of Pastoral Studies. Along the way he has been involved in several pastorates, and is presently a part-time Associate Pastor at Benton Street Baptist Church. David is passionate about preaching and teaching both the Old and New Testaments, but has found special nurture for kingdom life in the Psalms and Wisdom Books in particular. He is married to Lorraine, and they have five married children and 6 granddaughters.

    • Biography

      Dr. Wayne Baxter:
      Wayne is an ordained pastor with the Christian and Missionary Alliance and has served in pastoral ministries in Mississauga, Ottawa and Windsor. Wayne is a gifted teacher. He has taught as a sessional lecturer at University of Western Ontario, Wilfrid Laurier University, McMaster University and McMaster Divinity College. He has published scholarly articles in Trinity Journal, Novum Testamentum, and several other journals, dictionaries and edited books. He has also been highly involved in teaching and preaching in local churches. 
      Wayne is married to Lucille, and they have three sons: Ethan, Micah, and Jared.

    • Biography

      Dr. Stan Fowler:
      Stan serves as Professor of Theological Studies at Heritage College & Seminary. He has served as a professor and administrator at Central Baptist Seminary and then Heritage since
      1982. He previously served in pastoral ministry in Baptist churches in Bloomington, Indiana and Toronto. He is a graduate of Dallas Seminary and earned his doctorate in theology at Wycliffe College, University of Toronto. He has written numerous theological essays and one book, More Than a Symbol (an analysis of baptismal theology). He has been married to Donna for 45 years, and they have four adult children and six grandchildren.

    • Biography

      Dr. Gord Oeste:
      This is Gord's 7th year of teaching courses in Old Testament and Hebrew at Heritage Seminary. Gord is passionate about helping people to understand the context of the Old Testament and see its relevance for the life of the church, particularly in relation to some of the historical books like Joshua, Judges, Samuel and Kings. Before coming to Heritage, Gord served in various pastoral roles in Toronto, Winnipeg, and South Dakota. Gord is married to Carolyn and they have two wonderful daughters. He loves reading history, biography, and great stories, and is an avid sports fan.

    • Biography

      Ian Elliott
      Ian has directed internships and taught at Heritage in the Church Ministries department since 1994. He also serves as the Lead Pastor at Cedar Creek Community Church (Cambridge). He has a passion to see the church effective in making disciples and believes this can best be done through the teaching of God's Word and following the example of Christ and his disciple-making. He is married to Denise, and they have three adult children and 2 grandsons with another grandchild on the way.
