In-class courses once per week, one-week modules, daytime and evening classes, weekend courses, distance learning and our new Multi-Modal format, which incorporates online lectures and threaded online discussion yet still maintains the opportunity to interact with professors and classmates during two in-class sessions during a 4-month course period. With the multi-modal program, studying part-time, you could earn a Master of Theological Studies degree in as few as 3 ˝ years. Studying for an advanced degree or taking a series of courses for personal interest, growth and development just became a little closer to yourreach. A Glimpse at Our Programs
Master of Divinity DegreeThis three-year degree program provides an excellent combination of academics, practical skills and internships within the areas of General or Pastoral ministry, Counselling, Chaplaincy or Missions. Students in these specializations are well prepared to move towards vocational ministries, advanced degree studies and membership within professional associations.
Master of Theological StudiesThis two-year degree program prepares students with broad-based foundations for life and effectiveness in general ministry settings. Students may also pursue advanced degree studies after completing their Master of Theological Studies. Heritage Seminary also offers a one-year Certificate in Theological Studies and a two-year Diploma in Pastoral Studiesand Leadership.
Multi-Modal Course Schedule
This new format will involve only two days of in-class participation during a semester, with the rest of the instruction and interactions being completed online through audio lectures and threaded discussions. The lectures are scheduled for either Fridays (afternoon and evening) or Saturdays (morning and afternoon) and are grouped to allow studentsto complete two courses with two on-campus visits. The following is the proposed schedule of courses that would allow a student to complete a Master of Theological Studies degree utilizing this new format.
